Our supporters

Keynsham & Saltford Dementia Action Alliance has now been running Music for the Mind sessions since May 2017. Covid stopped us for a while from March 2020 and we only got back to our regular twice a month sessions in February 2022. Since 2017 we have had over 130 sessions and they have all been free of charge for our dementia friends and their carers. We have had fantastic support from so many organisations, businesses and local individuals. Without their help and the hard work of all our volunteers, we could not have done it.

The list below shows who has sponsored us over the last two years. 2023 was a quiet year for donations probably because it was our first full year after Covid. 2024 was our best year ever as far as income was concerned and a big thanks to them all.

During 2024 we applied successfully for 2 grants. We received £2,500 from a local organisation Quartet Community Foundation who do great work in our area and are based in Bristol.

Music for All is a national charity which was set up to promote music as a medium to help people particularly those living with dementia. We were unsuccessful with a first attempt as so many organisations applied but then later in the year more funding was made available and our second application was successful for £1,000.

A big thank you to everyone. Without you we wouldn’t be able to provide the support we give to those living with dementia and their carers in Keynsham and Saltford.

A special thank you to the Keynsham Dial-a-Ride team who do a great job for us. They go to a couple of local care homes to bring residents to our Music for the Mind sessions.
