After having Music For The Mind closed down for the duration of the various Covid lockdowns the Keynsham and Saltford Dementia Action Alliance (KSDAA) were looking forward to re-opening the doors on Thursday July 22nd to all of the regular and some new clients living with dementia.
However in light of the currently increasing infection rates the project group have decided that it would not be wise to go ahead with the event and have postponed it indefinitely.
Chairman Alan Hale told us “We were looking forward to welcoming back those living with dementia who enjoy our sessions. This first event was going to be an open morning to settle people in and to see how it functioned. Sadly we felt it a responsible action to pay heed to the significant rise in those with Covid in our area and had no wish to put our clients, their carers and our volunteers in danger of infection. We hope that we can reopen later in the year and will keep our clients appraised.”
